It is recommended to leavethe hood operating forapproximately 15 minutesafter cooking.The control Panel is asensor field. Touch thesymbols for 1 second toactivate the functions.To operate the hood:1. Turn on the appliance by pressingthe symbol.You can now activate the functions.2. To activate the function touch thesymbol.3. If needed, touch the light symbolto illuminate the cooking surface.To turn off the appliance press thesymbol again.3.2 Hob²Hood functionIt is an automatic function whichconnects the hob with a hood. Both thehob and the hood have an infrared signalcommunicator. Speed of the fan isdefined automatically on basis of modesetting and temperature of the hottestcookware on the hob. You can alsooperate the fan using the hob manually.The function can be activated from panelof the hob.For more information how touse the function refer to thehob user manual.3.3 Activating MaximumMotor SpeedWhen you touch , the MaximumMotor Speed starts to operate for 8minutes. After that time, the appliancereturns to its previous speed settings.When the function is turnedon, additional touch ondoes not have any effects.3.4 Filter notificationFilter alarm reminds to change or cleanthe charcoal filter and clean the greasefilter. The filter indicator is turned on(red) for 30 seconds if the grease filtermust be cleaned. The filter indicatorflashes (red) for 30 seconds if thecharcoal filter must be replaced orcleaned.Refer to cleaning the greasefilter in care and cleaningchapter.Refer to cleaning thecharcoal filter or replacingthe charcoal filter in care andcleaning chapter.To reset the function touch for 3seconds.To activate or deactivate function:1. Switch on the control panel.2. Make sure that the icons are turnedwhite.3. To activate function touch for 3seconds.If the function is activated, the filter iconflashes (red) five times.4.
