Not using a lid on the panuses three time as much gas.Place the pans on the cookingzone before you light the gas.! Save water: use as little wateras possible. Use just enoughwater to cover the item beingcooked wherever possible.! Cover the pan with a close-fit-ting lid. Bring to the boil at themaximum setting and turn downto the lowest possible level whensteam starts emerging steadilyfrom the lid. Estimate cookingtime from when you turn downthe heat. Avoid looking at thepotatoes/vegetables until thecooking time is up.! Turn down the heat immediate-ly the water boils. Select the cor-rect setting. Start at the maximumsetting and turn down as far aspossible, without letting the pango off the boil.! Defrost food in the refrigerator.!
