• The function divides the powerbetween cooking zones connected tothe same phase.• The function activates when the totalelectricity loading of the cookingzones connected to a single phaseexceeds 3700 W.• The function decreases the power tothe other cooking zones connected tothe same phase.• The heat setting display of thereduced zones changes between twolevels.5. HINTS AND TIPSWARNING!Refer to Safety chapters.5.1 CookwareFor induction cooking zonesa strong electro-magneticfield creates the heat in thecookware very quickly.Use the induction cookingzones with correct cookware.Cookware material• correct: cast iron, steel, enamelledsteel, stainless steel, the bottommade of multi-layer (with correct markfrom a manufacturer).• not correct: aluminium, copper, brass, glass, ceramic, porcelain.Cookware is correct for an inductionhob if:• some water boils very quickly on azone set to the highest heat setting.• a magnet pulls on to the bottom ofthe cookware. The bottom of the cookwaremust be as thick and flat aspossible.Cookware made ofenamelled steel and withaluminium or copperbottoms can cause thecolour change on the glass-ceramic surface.Cookware dimensionsInduction cooking zones adapt to thedimension of the bottom of thecookware automatically to some limit. The cooking zone efficiency is related tothe diameter of the cookware. Thecookware with a smaller diameter thanthe minimum receives only a part of thepower generated by the cooking zone.Refer to “Technicalinformation” chapter.5.2 The noises duringoperationIf you can hear:• crack noise: cookware is made ofdifferent materials (sandwichconstruction).• whistle sound: you use the cookingzone with high power level and thecookware is made of differentmaterials (sandwich construction).• humming: you use high power level.• clicking: electric switching occurs.• hissing, buzzing: the fan operates. The noises are normal and do not referto hob malfunction.5.3 Examples of cookingapplicationsThe relation between the heat settingand the cooking zone consumption ofpower is not linear. When you increasethe heat setting, it is not proportional tothe increase of the cooking zoneconsumption of power. It means that theENGLISH 11
