It is an importantdocument. Please keep it with yourproof of purchase documents in a safeplace for future reference should yourequire service for your Appliance.1. In this warrantya) ‘acceptable quality’ as referredto in clause 10 of this warrantyhas the same meaning referredto in the ACL;b) ‘ACL’ means Schedule 2 to theCompetition and Consumer Act2010;c) ‘Appliance’ means any AEGproduct purchased by you andaccompanied by this document;d) ‘ASC’ means AEG authorisedservice centres;e) AEG is the brand controlledby Electrolux Home ProductsPty Ltd of 163 O’RiordanStreet, Mascot NSW 2020,ABN 51 004 762 341 in respectof Appliances purchased inAustralia and Electrolux (NZ)Limited (collectively ‘Electrolux’)of 3-5 Niall Burgess Road,Mount Wellington, in respect ofAppliances purchased in NewZealand;f) ‘major failure’ as referred to inclause 10 of this warranty hasthe same meaning referredto in the ACL and includes asituation when an Appliancecannot be repaired or it isuneconomic for Electrolux,at its discretion, to repair anAppliance during the WarrantyPeriod;g) ‘Warranty Period’ meansthe Appliance is warrantedagainst manufacturing defectsin Australia and New Zealandfor 60 months, following thedate of original purchase of theAppliance;h) ‘you’ means the purchaserof the Appliance not havingpurchased the Appliancefor re-sale, and ‘your’ has acorresponding meaning.2. This warranty only applies toAppliances purchased and used inAustralia or New Zealand in normaldomestic applications and is inaddition to (and does not exclude,restrict, or modify in any way) anynon-excludable statutory warrantiesin Australia or New Zealand.3. During the Warranty PeriodElectrolux or its ASC will, at no extracharge if your Appliance is readilyaccessible for service, withoutspecial equipment and subjectto these terms and conditions,repair or replace any parts which itconsiders to be defective. Electroluxor its ASC may use remanufacturedparts to repair your Appliance. Youagree that any replaced Appliancesor parts become the property ofElectrolux. This warranty does notapply to light globes, batteries, filtersor similar perishable parts.4. Parts and Appliances not suppliedby Electrolux are not covered by thiswarranty.5. To the extent permitted by law, youwill bear the cost of transportation,travel and delivery of the Applianceto and from Electrolux or its ASC.If you reside outside of the servicearea, you will bear the cost of:a) travel of an authorisedrepresentative; |
