24Important Safety Instructions• Please make old appliances unusable prior to disposal. Pull out themains plug, cut off the mains cable, break or remove spring or boltcatches, if fitted. By doing this you ensure that children cannot lockthemselves in the appliance when playing (there is risk of suffocati-on!) or get themselves into other dangerous situations.• Often children cannot recognise the hazards present in householdappliances. It is therefore important that you ensure adequate super-vision and never let children play with the appliance!Daily Operation• Containers with flammable gases or liquids can leak at low tempera-tures. There is a risk of an explosion! Do not store any containerswith flammable materials such as spray cans, fire extinguisher refillcartridges etc in the refrigerator/freezer.• Do not operate any electrical appliances in the refrigerator/freezer(e.g. electric ice cream makers, mixers etc.).• Before cleaning the appliance, always switch off the appliance andunplug it, or disconnect from the electricity supply.• When unplugging always pull the plug from the mains socket, do notpull on the cable.In case of malfunction• If a malfunction occurs on the appliance, please look first in the"What to do if ..." section of these instructions. If the informationgiven there does not help, please do not perform any further repairsyourself.• This product should be serviced by an authorised engineer and onlygenuine spare parts should be used.• Under no circumstances should you attempt to repair the applianceyourself. Repairs carried out by inexperienced persons may causeinjury or serious malfunctioning. Contact your local Customer caredepartment.
