The extractor hoodhas been designed exclusively fordomestic use.Caution!Do not connect the applianceto the mains until the installation isfully complete. Before any cleaning ormaintenance operation, disconnecthood from the mains by removingthe plug or disconnecting the mainselectrical supply.Always wear work gloves during themaintenance, installation and lightingoperations. The appliance is not intendedfor use by children or persons with impairedphysical, sensorial or mental faculties,or if lacking in experience or knowledge,unless they are under supervision or havebeen trained in the use of the applianceby a person responsible for their safety.This appliance is designed to be operatedby adults, children should be monitoredto ensure that they do not play with theappliance. This appliance is designed tobe operated by adults. Children should notbe allowed to tamper with the controls orplay with the appliance. Never use the hoodwithout effectively mounted grating! Thehood must NEVER be used as a supportsurface unless specifically indicated. Thepremises where the appliance is nstalledmust be sufficiently ventilated, when thekitchen hood is used together with othergas combustion devices or other fuels. Theducting system for this appliance must notbe connected to any existing ventilationsystem which is being used for any otherpurpose such as discharging exhaustfumes from appliances burning gas or otherfuels. The flaming of foods beneath thehood itself is severely prohibited. The useof exposed flames is detrimental to thefilters and may cause a fire risk, and musttherefore be avoided in all circumstances.Any frying must be done with care in orderto make sure that the oil does not overheatand ignite.Caution!Accessible parts of the hoodmay became hot when used withcooking appliance.With regards to the technical and safetymeasures to be adopted for fumedischarging it is important to closely followthe regulations provided by the localauthorities. The hood must be regularlycleaned on both the inside and outside (ATLEAST ONCE A MONTH).This must be completed in accordancewith the maintenance instructions providedin this manual). Failure to follow theinstructions provided in this user guideregarding the cleaning of the hood andfilters will lead to the risk of fires. Do notuse or leave the hood without the lampcorrectly mounted due to the possible riskof electric shocks. We will not accept anyresponsibility for any faults, damage or firescaused to the appliance as a result of thenon-observance of the instructions includedin this manual.Warning!Failure to install the screws orfixing device in accordance with theseinstructions may result in electricalhazards.2.USEThe hood serves to aspirate the fumes andvapors resulting from cooking.The attached installation manual indicatesthe version to be used depending on themodel you have, the suction version withexternal evacuation or filtering withinternal recirculation .3.INSTALLATIONThe mains power supply must correspondto the rating indicated on the plate situatedinside the hood. If provided with a plugconnect the hood to a socket in compliancewith current regulations and positioned inan accessible area, after installation. If it notfitted with a plug (direct mains connection)or if the plug is not located in an accessiblearea, after installation, apply a doublepole switch in accordance with standardswhich assures the complete disconnectionof the mains under conditions relating toover-current category III in accordance withinstallation instructions.Warning!Before re-connecting the hoodcircuit to the mains supply and checkingthe efficient function, always check thatthe mains cable is correctly assembled. |
