5ENGLISHThe saturation of the charcoal filteroccurs after more or less prolonged use,depending on the type of cooking and theregularity of cleaning of the grease filter.In any case it is necessary to replace thecartridge at least every four mounths.The charcoal filter may NOT be washed orregenerated.CONTROLSThe hood is fitted with a control panel withaspiration speed selection control and alight switch to control cooking area lights. 1. ON/OFF lighting2. OFF motors3. - 4. - 5. Minimum suction power (3.),medium (4.), maximum (5.).Use the high suction speed in casesof concentrated kitchen vapours. It isrecommended that the cooker hood suctionis switched on for 5 minutes prior to cookingand to leave in operation during cookingand for another 15 minutes approximatelyafter terminating cooking.LIGHTINGDisconnect the hood from the electricity.Warning! Prior to touching the light bulbsensure they are cooled down.eplace the old light bulb with the one of thesame type as specified in the feature labelor near the light lamp on the hood (E14).The hood is provided with a special powercable ; if the cable is damaged, request anew one from Technical Service.The minimum distance between thesupporting surface for the cookingequipment on the hob and the lowest partof the range hood must be not less than50cm from electric cookers and 65cm fromgas or mixed cookers. If the instructions forinstallation for the gas hob specify a greaterdistance, this must be adhered to.MAINTENANCEATTENTION! Before performing anymaintenance operation, isolate the hoodfrom the electrical supply by switching off atthe connector and removing the connectorfuse. Or if the appliance has beenconnected through a plug and socket, thenthe plug must be removed from the socket.The cooker hood should be cleanedregularly (at least with the same frequencywith which you carry out maintenance of thefat filters) internally and externally. Cleanusing the cloth dampened with neutral liquiddetergent. Do not use abrasive products.DO NOT USE ALCOHOL!Warning! Failure to carry out the basiccleaning recommendations of the cookerhood and replacement of the filters maycause fire risks.Therefore, we recommend observing theseinstructions.The manufacturer declines all responsibilityfor any damage to the motor or anyfire damage linked to inappropriatemaintenance or failure to observe the abovesafety recommendations.The grease filter must be cleaned once amonth using non aggressive detergents,either by hand or in the dishwasher, whichmust be set to a low temperature and ashort cycle. When washed in a dishwasher,the grease filter may discolour slightly, butthis does not affect its filtering capacity.
