12 Digital Flexprobe ® Models 400D & 4000D3.2.4 Search for MaximumTo search for a maximum, for example a spike lasting at least 100ms,press the HOLD (MAX > 2s) button for more than two seconds.The Max symbol will display and the instrument will begin measuring.M AXAThe Digital Flexprobe ® compares each new measurement to the onedisplayed. If the new measurement is greater than the old, it replaces itin the display.To return to the real-time display mode, press the HOLD (MAX > 2s)button again.3.2.5 Auto Power OFFIf there is no activity after 10 minutes, the Digital Flexprobe ® turns offautomatically (unless the MAX function is active) to preserve battery life.To deactivate the Auto Power OFF feature, press the and HOLDbuttons simultaneously when turning the instrument on.To reactivate automatic switching off, switch the device off, then back on.3.2.6 Low BatteryWhen the battery voltage drops and the remaining battery life of theinstrument is approximately one hour, the symbol blinks on thedisplay.When the battery voltage is too low to guarantee the accuracy of ameasurement, the symbol lights steadily. The batteries must then bereplaced (see § 5.2).3.2.7 DisconnectingTurn off the device by pressing the button. Press the yellow openinglever to open the flexible sensor.
