English 119. TroubleshootingProblem Possible Reason Recommended ActionBatteries are empty. Replace all batteries with new ones.Nothingappears in thedisplay, evenwhen the poweris turned on.Battery polaritiesare not in thecorrect position.Reinstall the batteries with theirnegative and positive ends matchingthose indicated in the batterycompartment.The cuff is notfastened properly. Fasten the cuff correctly.Patient moved thierarm or body duringthe measurement.Make sure the patient remains verystill during the measurement.The cuff position isnot correct.Have the patient sit comfortably still.Ensure that the cuff is at the samelevel as the heart.If the patient has a very weak orirregular heart beat, the device mayhave difficulty in determining thierblood pressure.The unit doesnot take ameasurement.Readings aretoo high or toolow.Remove the batteries. Reinstall themproperly and try the measurementagain.Note: If the recommendations above do not solve the problem, contactyour nearest authorized A&D representative. Do not attempt to openor repair this product by yourself, as any attempt to do so will renderyour warranty invalid.10. MaintenanceDo not attempt to open the device as the delicate electrical components andintricate air unit inside could be damaged. If you cannot solve the problemusing our troubleshooting guide, request assistance from your authorizeddealer or from any A&D service group.The device was designed and manufactured for a long service life. However itis generally recommended to have the monitor inspected every 2 years, toensure proper functioning and accuracy. Please contact either your authorizeddealer or A&D for maintenance. |
