3 Model 9133i SIP Admin Guide9133i IP Phone Set up 9133i IP Phone Set upWhen the 9133i is first plugged in orrestarted it will automaticallydownload any firmware updates forthe phone. The binary andconfiguration files that are requiredfor the 9133i are:• "9133i.st”• “aastra.cfg”• “.cfg”.The settings of the 9133i IP Phone,as well as the softkeys and the linekeys, can be configured through theconfiguration files.Note: Refer to Appendix A for details onthe parameters that can be set forthe 9133i IP Phone.Refer to Appendix B for sampleconfiguration files with all thebasic parameters that need to beset to register the IP phone at thePBX.The following steps illustrate atypical 9133i IP Phone setup:1. If DHCP is disabled, manuallyenter the TFTP server’s IPaddress. For details on how to setthe TFTP server setting for the9133i see “TFTP Server Settings”on page 7 .2. Copy the firmware file “9133i.st”to the root directory of the TFTPserver. This firmware file isdownloaded only when it isdifferent than the one the phoneis currently using.3. Copy the Aastra configuration file“aastra.cfg” and “.cfg” fileto the root directory of the TFTPserver.Note: represents the actual MACaddress of your phone whichmust be input i.e.00085D030996.cfgThe 9133i’s Options List1. Press the I button on thephone to enter the options list.2. To go to an Option, use the Vand W to scroll through the listor press the numbercorresponding to the Option.3. To select an Option, press the Ubutton beside the Option youwant.4. Use the W to save the changeand exit the current option.5. Press the V or N or button atany time to exit without savingthe changes.Administrator Level OptionsSome options in the 9133i IP Phoneoptions list are consideredadministrator level options andrequire the administrator user nameand password. When attempting toaccess administrator level options,the phone prompts for theadministrator password beforeallowing access. The defaultpassword for the administrator is22222. For all other phone options,please refer to the Aastra 9133iInstallation Guide.The administrator level options inthe phone’s Options List are:• “8.Network”• “9.SIP Settings”• “10.Phone Status > 5.FactoryDefault”
