3 Model CM-16 User GuideIn operation:• It is normal for the batteries to become warm when charging.• Discharge the batteries from time to time to prolong their service life.To do this, do not place the phone back into the charger stand until thebatteries are completely or almost completely discharged. The batteryicon on the display will indicate when the batteries are low and an alerttone is sounded every three minutes.• Only use batteries and charging units approved by the manufacturer.• If you do not intend to use the phone for an extended period, the batteriesshould be removed from the handset.• Store batteries at room temperature. Above average temperatures tendto reduce the service life of batteries.• Do not throw away or incinerate used batteries. Take them to anappropriate collection point for recycling or send them back to yoursupplier or distributor.The batteries included with the CM-16 are designed to provide up to fourhours talk time and eighty hours standby time.
