Getting Inside the Main ChassisOccasionally you may need to access the Diskus Main Board orDisk Drive assemblies to install options, change configurations,etc. Accessing the inside of the chassis involves removing the topcover. The cover is a single piece that provides the top, front, andboth sides of the Main Chassis. All trim pieces and rack mounthardware attach to the cover. You can remove the cover withouttaking the trim and rack pieces off first.To remove the cover:STEP 1: Disconnect power to the unit.STEP 2: Place the Diskus Main Chassis so that the bottom isresting on a sturdy table. For tower systems, rotate theMain Chassis so that the edge with the front LEDs andswitches rests on the table.NOTE: Do not remove the cover while still mountedin a rack.STEP 3: Remove the main front cover by grasping it at each endand pulling it away from the Main Chassis.STEP 4: Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the four Phillipsscrews along the Main Chassis bottom edge. See thefigure on the following page.STEP 5: While holding its sides, pull the cover forward about aninch, then carefully lift it up.
