3-12 Chapter 3Security Option:This option can be set to System or to Setup.After you have created a password through PASSWORD SETTING, thisoption will deny access to your system (System) or modification ofcomputer setup (BIOS Setup) by unauthorized users.‰ SYSTEM: When you choose System, a password is required each timethe computer boots up. If the correct password is not given, the systemwill not start.‰ SETUP: When you choose Setup, a password is required only whenaccessing the BIOS Setup. If you have not set a password in thePASSWORD SETTING option, this option is not available.Notice: Don’t forget your password. If you forget the password, you willhave to open the computer case and clear all information in theCMOS before you can start up the system. But doing this, youhave to reset all the options you had set up before.PCI /VGA Palette Snoop:This option allows the BIOS to preview VGA Status, and to modify theinformation delivered from the Feature Connector of the VGA card to theMPEG Card. This option can solve the display inversion to black after youhave used the MPEG card.Delay IDE Initial:This item is using for support some old model or special type of hard disksor CD-ROMs . Because the BIOS may not detect those kinds ofdevices during system booting .OS Select For DRAM > 64MB:When the system memory is bigger than 64MB, the communication methodbetween the BIOS and the operating system will differ from one operatingsystem to another. If you use OS/2, select OS2; if you choose anotheroperating system, select Non-OS2.
