– 22 –START UPFirst of all, please remove any activa-tion safeguards (e.g. a black activationsafety device) and make sure that theactivation safeguard does not get intothe device! Then, press the device’sred activation button (Fig. 1, I.) whichis shown in the picture on page 3.After being pressed, this button mustbe flush with the housing of thedevice. To confirm that your smokealarm is now activated, a short testtone will sound after activation.
