Chapter 3, Preparing the devices3-20 Accu-Chek Smart Pix user's manual3.17 Note on time settings for the Accu-Chek insulin pumpsIf you have to correct the time set in your Accu-Chek insulinpump, please observe the following:Do not change the time on your Accu-Chek insulinpump if you have programmed time-based changesof insulin delivery (e.g. temporary basal rate, extendedbolus or multiwave bolus) and this change is still ineffect (i.e. the programmed period of time has not yetelapsed). In this case, the Accu-Chek Smart Pix system may not beable to analyse the stored insulin pump data. Therefore, onlychange the time set in your insulin pump if it is in STOPmode. If you want to reset the time programmed in your Accu-Chekinsulin pump (e.g. at the end of the summer time or due totime zone changes when travelling to Western directions)and to analyse the existing data using the Accu-ChekSmart Pix system:Before changing the time, read the existing data fromyour Accu-Chek insulin pump. The next time data isread, the Accu-Chek Smart Pix system only analysesthe insulin pump data which was stored after thetime was reset. If you use your insulin pump together with a blood glucosemeter and want to analyse the data of both devices using theAccu-Chek Smart Pix system, always change the time for alldevices at once. This ensures that the informationrepresented in the reports is assigned correctly. Combinedreports are only created for devices having the same dateand time settings.ii
