Improper installation can result in electricshock, possible injury due to coming in contact withmoving parts, as well as other potential hazards. Otherconsiderations may be required if high winds or seismicactivity are present. If more information is needed,contact a licensed professional engineer before movingforward.1. Follow all local electrical and safety codes, as wellas the National Electrical Code (NEC), the NationalFire Protection Agency (NFPA), where applicable.Follow the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) inCanada.2. The rotation of the supply fan wheel is critical. Itmust be free to rotate without striking or rubbingany stationary objects.3. Motor must be securely and adequately grounded.4. Do not spin fan wheel faster than the maximumcataloged fan rpm. Adjustments to fan speedsignificantly affects motor load. If the fan RPM ischanged, the motor current should be checked tomake sure it is not exceeding the motor nameplateamps.5. Do not allow the power cable to kink or come incontact with oil, grease, hot surfaces, or chemicals.Replace cord immediately if damaged.6. Verify that the power source is compatible with theequipment.7. Never open fan access doors while the fan isrunning.DANGERAlways disconnect power before workingon or near a unit. Use appropriate lockouttagout procedures to prevent accidentalpower up.CAUTIONWhen servicing the unit, motor may be hotenough to cause pain or injury.
