You’re about to enjoy the convenience of havingprofessional timing right at your fingertips when you need it,plus a regular wristwatch whenever you don’t.SETUPMost watches ship with a battery inter-rupt in place to save battery life. Turn thewatch over and use a quarter or nickleto twist open the battery compartmenthatch. Remove clear plastic strip fromunderneath the battery. Replace the bat-tery, taking care to ensure that the posi-tive (+) terminal is facing up. Replace thebattery compartment hatch and tightenwith the coin, making sure that the smallarrow points to the dot at the top of thewatch case when you are finished. Peelthe simulated display sticker off thewatch face.Your new watch has four modes of op-eration: 1/100th second Memory Stop-watch with Turbo features, Triple-modeTimer, plus two Time-of-Day/Date/Alarmmodes. When the battery is enabled,your watch will come to life in stopwatchmode. Press theLbutton to cycle be-tween the modes. Your watch also has anElectroluminescent backlight. Push S2 for2 seconds to Reset**Event TimingEvent timing is the simplest form of tim-ing. Hold down for Rapid Review.STOPWATCH AND SPEED/RATEThe advanced “Turbo” functions onthe watch calculate speed or rate oncedistance has been input into the watch(recall that Rate = Units/Time).Speed/Rate Function SettingS1(2sec) - Enter Turbo (Speed/Rate) SetFunctionS1(4sec) – Enter set function and ResetTurbo fields to zero (as for DUALSPLIT timing)S2 – Select field to be Set (field willflash)S3 – Set field to Desired SettingS4 – Exit Setting FunctionWhen a Distance or Sample Count Is setIn Turbo Set Up mode, “SPD ” (Speed)indicator will be illuminated at bottom ofdisplay. The number you enter shouldcorrespond to the Distance or SampleCount you want to use for the Speedor Rate Computation. “P-HR” in displaymeans watch is set to compute “perHour” rate, and “P-Mn” means watch isset to compute a “per Minute” rate.If you want the watch to compute in “perSec” rate, divide the Distance or SampleCount (Strokes, Strides, Units, etc.) by60, then enter it.For example, let’s say that you are at arace track with a course that is one milelong.
