This thermostat isMERCURY FREE!! The ACCUSTAT® models utilizepre-set plug-in temperature setpoints to activate the circuits. Room airtemperature is measured by a microprocessor and compared with theplug-in setpoint temperature. The thermostat has a locking cover toprevent tampering.Operating Conditions:The electronic mechanisms incorporated within this unit REQUIREoperating conditions similar to other electronic devices intended forINDOOR USE ONLY, such as would be acceptable for TV and similarhousehold appliances. Relative humidity must be less than 95% andthe atmosphere must be non-condensing. Air quality must be main-tained, FREE of heavy dust or debris which may infiltrate the interiorof this device. Installation in any space which is unfinished or under-going repainting or general rehabilitation is also considered productabuse. This device should be removed from service during any localconstruction activity.Cleaning:This device incorporates a high impact styrene enclosure which iseasily cleaned with a dry cloth or vacuum brush. Occasional soilingmay be cleaned with a soft cloth lightly dampened with water and/ormild cleaning solution. IN NO CASE should this device be directlysprayed with or exposed to free flowing liquids, including water, whichcould penetrate its interior.FAILURE TO OBSERVE ANY OF THE ABOVE CONDITIONS OF USEWILL COMPLETELY VOID THE SUPPLIER WARRANTY.CAUTIONMAKE SURE UNIT IS PROPERLY CONNECTED. DAMAGE TO THECONTROL CAN BE CAUSED BY MISWIRING, WHICH WILL VOIDTHE WARRANTY.TO OPEN:1. Align key with slot and insert all the way2. Locking pin will emerge. Pull out completely3. Gently squeeze left side of cover torelease catches4. Let right side work as a hingeSwing cover out and removeTO CLOSE: (Reverse Procedure)1. Hinge right side of cover and close it2. Gently squeeze left side of cover andsnap shut3.
