Thisbattery type does not have the memory effect problem ofNickel Cadmium (NiCd). Li-Ion batteries consistentlyprovide the longest battery life, best-suited for roadwarriors.q Battery-low WarningWhen the battery charge level becomes low, thecomputer gives off warning beeps and the statusindicator flashes at regular intervals. This tells the userthat the battery power is critically low. You can correctthis situation by recharging the battery pack.Whenever possible, use the AC adapter. The battery willcome in handy when you travel or during a power failure. Itis advisable to have an extra fully-charged battery packavailable as backup.Note: When using a battery pack for the first time, fullyrecharge the battery, then disconnect the adapter to useup the battery before recharging again. You only need todo this once with a new battery or with a battery that’sbeen stored without being used for a long time. If thecomputer is to be stored for more than two weeks, wesuggest that you remove the battery pack.
