System activity refers to anyactivity involving one or more of the following devices: keyboard,touchpad/mouse, floppy disk drive, hard disk drive, optical drive,peripherals connected to the computer, and video memory. If noactivity is detected for a period of time (the settings are controlled inWindows Power Management), the computer turns off some, or all, ofthese devices in order to conserve power.Your computer employs a power management scheme that supportsACPI (Advanced Configuration and Power Interface), enablingmaximum power conservation without compromising systemperformance. ACPI allows Windows to control the amount of powergiven to each device attached to the computer. In this way, Windowshandles all power-saving chores for your computer.
