30 Chapter 2SecurityThe Security screen contains parameters that help safeguard and protect your computer from unauthorizeduse.NOTE: Please refer to “Remove HDD/BIOS Password” section if you need to know how to remove HDD/BIOSPassword.The table below describes the parameters in this screen. Settings in boldface are the default and suggestedparameter settings.Parameter Description OptionSupervisor Password Is Shows the setting of the Supervisor password Clear or SetUser Password Is Shows the setting of the user password. Clear or SetHDD Password Is Shows the setting of the hard disk password. Clear or SetSet Supervisor Password Press Enter to set the supervisor password.When set, this password protects the BIOSSetup Utility from unauthorized access. Theuser can not either enter the Setup menu norchange the value of parameters.Set User Password Press Enter to set the user password. Whenuser password is set, this password protectsthe BIOS Setup Utility from unauthorizedaccess. The user can enter Setup menu onlyand does not have right to change the value ofparameters.Set HDD Password Enter HDD Password.Password on Boot Defines whether a password is required or notwhile the events defined in this grouphappened.
