The AC/DC adaptor shouldnot be obstructed OR should beeasily accessed during intended use.• The ventilation should not beimpeded by covering the ventilationopenings with items such asnewspaper, table-cloths, curtains etc.• No naked flame sources such aslighted candled should be placed onthe apparatus.• The use of apparatus in moderateclimates.lightning storms or when unusedfor long periods of time.• Refer all servicing to qualifiedservice personnel. If this equipmentdoes cause harmful interference toradio or television reception, whichcan be determined by turning theequipment off and on, the user isencouraged to try to correct theinterference by one or more of thefollowing measures:• Reorient or relocate the receivingantenna.• Increase the separation between theequipment and receiver.• Connect the equipment into anoutlet on a circuit different fromthat to which the receiver isconnected.• Consult the dealer or anexperienced radio/TV technician forhelp.Changes or modifications not expresslyapproved by Audiovox could voidthe user’s authority to operate theequipment.Warranty informationAuxiliary sourcePairing ReconnectingAny Bluetooth device that you wish tohave streaming audio to your ARS70must first be PAIRED to the ARS70. Theprocess is simple, and in most cases thePAIRING process needs to be done onlyonce.Pairing your Bluetooth wirelesstechnology enabled products withthe ARS70:1. Activate the Bluetooth wirelessmode on your Bluetooth device(smartphone, Laptop, PC) and letthe device enter search mode. Referto the device user manual for moredetails.2. Press to turn on the ARS70.3. The ARS70 enters the pairingmode (red and blue LED flashalternatively) automatically at thefi rst start up. If this is not the firsttime you use the ARS70, press andhold the PAIR button on the ARS70to enter Pairing mode. The red andblue LED will flash alternately andan audio signal will be provided tolet you know you can release thebutton.1. To select auxiliary mode, connectyour auxiliary source (e.g. mp3player) to the AUX input jack at theback of the ARS70 with a 3.5mmaudio in cable (not supplied).2. The green LED will turn on. Controlall other playback operations fromyour auxiliary player.3. To switch back to the Bluetoothconnection, disconnect the 3.5mmcable from the AUX input jack atthe back of the audio system.In the previous section you saw howto make that first connection betweenyour Bluetooth device and the ARS70.However, since most people don’t leavetheir mobile phone at home all thetime, or perhaps the mobile phone isturned off from time to time, it will benecessary to reconnect your previouslypaired Bluetooth device when you wishto stream music again. There are a fewdifferent ways in which reconnectionsare made, and fortunately they are allvery simple.Searching modeWhen the ARS70 is in SEARCHING MODE(which is indicated by a fl ashing of theBlue LED), the ARS70 is attemptingto automatically connect to the mostrecently connected Bluetooth device.SEARCHING MODE typically occurs whenthe ARS70 is fi rst turned on, or if theBluetooth device goes out of the range.See the Bluetooth range section onBluetooth wireless technology range.Once this most recent device is backwithin range, the re-connection shouldbe automatic. However, it may benecessary to initiate the audio playbackon the Bluetooth device. Note that theSearching mode will revert to BluetoothStandby Mode (see next section) if nore-connection is made.• Some Bluetooth deviceswill automatically startstreaming audio whenconnected.• The ARS70 can store settingsfor up to 8 Bluetoothdevices which simplifies theconnection process for thesedevices without the need forre-pairing every time.• The term “Bluetooth device”is used frequently in theseinstructions. So what is a“Bluetooth device”? Theanswer is simple. This wouldbe any mobile phone ormobile tablet or netbookor computer which has atleast both of the followingcapabilities:a) Is equipped with Bluetoothwireless technology:Bluetooth version 2.1 + EDRand A2DP.b) Can playback audio contentsuch as mp3 files, etc.12 Month Limited WarrantyApplies to AR Audio SystemsAUDIOVOX ACCESSORIES CORP. Checkthe volume level of your BluetoothThe 3.5mm audio directconnection suspends anyBluetooth streaming audioyou’re listening to. TheARS70 plays only the direct connectaudio when you have somethingconnected to the AUX input jack.4. You should be able to see “ARARS70” on the device list in theBluetooth settings menu on yourBluetooth device where you cancomplete the pairing operation.Note in some cases you may beprompted to enter a passkey. Thepasskey is “0000”. The bluetoothsettings menu or bluetooth devicelist will be found in different waysfor diffrent devices depending onthe brand and operating system.You can manually break the Bluetoothwireless connection by a press and holdof the PAIR button.Q: My paired Bluetooth device cannot reconnect to the ARS70.A: Press and hold PAIR to enter Pairingmode again. A reconnection mayfail due to :• The pairing information has beendeleted from your Bluetooth device.• You may have exceeded theallowable number of paired devicesfor the ARS70. Only 8 Bluetoothdevices may have their pairingcredentials stored at one time.Simply follow the above instructionsfor Pairing to have a device pairedagain. However remember that theARS70 can only store credentialsfor 8 devices. Therefore the earliestpaired device will be removed fromthat list of 8 to make room for thedevice you wish to Pair.Troubleshooting tips |
