5Installing Software for the PCUnder MS-DOS 5.0 and above, the AHA-2930B hostadapter can support up to seven other SCSI deviceswithout additional software. (Earlier versions of DOSsupport up to two hard disk drives.) You need to installadditional software to support other kinds of SCSIdevices such as tape drives, CD-ROM drives, andscanners.n If Adaptec EZ-SCSI® was included with yourAHA-2930B, you should install it now. AdaptecEZ-SCSI provides software driver support for yourhost adapter and SCSI devices in computers runningunder DOS, Windows® , Windows 95 ®, andWindows NT ™.n The Adaptec ® 7800 Family Manager Set providessoftware driver support for the NetWare, OS/2, andUNIX platforms.n If you purchased your host adapter from a third-party vendor, you can use the drivers they provide.(Refer to the third-party documentation for installa-tion instructions and troubleshooting information.)Installing Software for theMacintoshPower Macintosh users with Mac OS (system 7.5.2 orgreater) can install the Board Control software that allowsyou to change host adapter settings without opening thecomputer case. This software is included on the BoardControl diskette. Copy the Board Control software to theSystem folder/Apple Menu Items folder on your localhard disk drive.
