IM 1E10D0-01E4-14. MAINTENANCE4. MAINTENANCEWARNINGThis instrument must be repaired or mainte-nance-serviced by expert engineer or skilledpersonnel. The procedures described in thischapter are not permitted for operators.Regular maintenance and inspection should be carriedout to fully utilize all functions and to obtain maximumperformance from the magnetic flowmeter.4.1 Regular InspectionItems(1)Inspection of moisture-proofing inside theterminal box: Once/year(2)Refastening of piping joint screws: Abouttwice/year(3)Inspection of electrodes and lining (in caseof adhesive and/or abrasive fluid, etc.)Determine the period of regular inspection asnecessary.4.2 Trouble ShootingSince the ADMAG SE magnetic flowmeter has “selfdiagnostic functions”, if a failure occurs, it is displayedon the SE14 magnetic flow converter. Please refer toInstruction Manual of SE14 magnetic flow converter.IMPORTANTBe sure to disconnect the cables at the terminalsof the flow tube when checking.(1) Excitation Coil CheckCheck that the resistance between terminals EX1 andEX2 in the terminal box is 150 Ω or less with amultimeter. If it is not, coils may be broken down, andreplacement or repair of the flow tube is needed.(2) Insulation Resistance CheckCheck the insulation resistances in accordance with thetables below. If one of them falls below the value inthe tables, replacement or repair of the flow tube isneeded.Coil CircuitChecking is possible even if the pipe is filled withfluid.Test Terminals Test Voltage SpecificationBetween Terminals EX1 and C 500 V DC 1MΩ or moreT0401.EPSSignal CircuitBe sure to empty and dry the pipe inside, and releasewiring connection of converter side before checking.Test Terminals Test Voltage SpecificationBetween Terminals A and CBetween Terminals B and C500 V DC 100MΩ or more for eachT0402.EPS
