Additional Length DetectionAdditional Length Detection allows you to define the length ofdocument being multi-fed. This value indicates the additionallength exceeding your scan area. The Display window willshow the size of the document as you change the value. Avalue of 0 indicates no additional length detection. TheAdditional Length Detection is best used when scanning same-size documents in the auto document feeder.Intelligent Mode (Skip Multi-Feed) By UltrasonicDetectionSome documents which are glued with a photo or a label mayeasily be detected as multi-feed yet you wish to bypass thesemulti-feed conditions. In this case, you can use the intelligentmode to let the scanner memorizes and skips these multi-feedconditions. Choice includes Disable, By Length, ByPosition, By Length+Position.By Length: When a multi-feed is detected for the first time,the scanner memorizes the length of the paper attached to thedocument. When you perform next scanning, this pattern ofmulti-feed will be bypassed.By Position: When a multi-feed is detected for the first time,the scanner memorizes the position of the paper attached tothe document.
