This is a useful functionwhen connecting the camera to busy or heavily loaded networks. The default setting isUnlimited.Note: When using MPEG-4 as the video format, remember that setting a maximum bandwidth value here maycreate problems for individual video streams if the maximum value is less than the sum of the bit rates setfor the video streams. For more information, please see the online help .Network - SOCKSSOCKS is a network proxy protocol. The cameras can be configured to use a SOCKS serverto reach networks on the other side of a firewall/proxy server. This functionality is useful ifthe camera is located on a local network behind a firewall, but notifications, uploads, alarms, etc., need to be sent to a destination outside the local network (e.g. to the Internet).Network - SMTP (e-mail)Enter the host names or addresses for your primary and secondary mail servers in the fieldsprovided, to enable the sending of event and error e-mail messages from the camera topredefined addresses via SMTP.Network - SNMP (AXIS 210A/211A only)The Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) allows remote management of networkdevices. Depending on the level of security required, select the version of SNMP to use. Thethree levels of security are:• SNMP V1 - includes no security.• SNMP V2c - uses very simple security. The community name can be specified as a pass-word for read or read/write access to all supported SNMP objects. The community is thethe group of network devices using SNMP.• SNMP V3 - provides encryption and secure passwords. HTTPS must be enabled.
