Requirements for Compliance with UL294 6th EditionThis section contains information and instructions requiredfor UL compliance. To make sure the installation is ULcompliant, follow the instructions below in addition to thegeneral information and instructions provided throughoutthis document. In cases where pieces of informationcontradict each other, the requirements for UL compliancealways replace general information and instructions.Performance Levels for Access ControlThis section contains performance level informationrequired for UL 294 compliance.Feature LevelDestructive Attack Test ILine Security IEndurance IVStandby Power ISafety Instructions• The Axis product shall be installed and serviced by afactory trained professional.• The Axis product shall be installed within the protectedpremises (secured area).• The Axis product shall be mounted indoors. Outdooruse has not been evaluated or approved by UL.• All interconnecting devices shall be UL Listed and Class2 low-voltage power limited.• All wiring methods shall be performed in accordancewith NFPA70, local codes and authorities havingjurisdiction.• When the Axis product has reached the end of itsuseful life, dispose of it according to local laws andregulations. The product should not be disposed oftogether with household or commercial waste. SeeDisposal and recycling on page 3 .• Battery- The 3.0 V lithium battery used bythe Axis product is a UL Recognizedcomponent. (Type: BR2032,diameter: 20 mm (0.78 in),manufacturers: Rayovac,Panasonic). The following batterytype is also a UL Recognizedcomponent: Type CR2032,manufacturers: Fuji, Maxell,Renata, Varta, Panasonic, JHIH- Users shall not replace the battery.If the battery needs replacing, afactory trained service professionalshall contact Axis supportat www.axis.com/techsup forassistance.- Used batteries shall be disposedof according to local laws andregulations, which may vary fromstate to state. Waste BR/CRlithium cells are neither listednor exempted from the USEPAhazardous waste regulations.
