38 AXIS 221 - System OptionsServicesEnable ARP/Ping setting of IP address - The IP address can be set using the ARP/Pingmethod, which associates the unit's MAC address with an IP address. Uncheck this box todisable the service in order to prevent unintentional resetting of the IP address. For moreinformation see Other methods of setting the IP address in the AXIS 221 InstallationGuide.Notes: • The ARP/Ping service is automatically disabled 2 minutes after the unit is started, or as soon as an IP addressis set.• Pinging the unit will still be possible when this service is disabled.Options for notification of IP address change - If the IP Address for the camera ischanged automatically, e.g. by DHCP, you can choose to be notified of the change. ClickSettings... and enter the required information.AXIS Internet Dynamic DNS Service - The AXIS Internet Dynamic DNS Service canprovide your Axis product with its own URL (web address), which can then be used toaccess it over the Internet. The product can be unregistered from the service at any time.To do this click Settings... and follow the instructions. For more information, please referto the online help.Network - Advanced TCP/IP SettingsDNS ConfigurationDNS (Domain Name Service) provides the translation of host names to IP addresses onyour network.Obtain DNS server address via DHCP - automatically use the DNS server settings providedby the DHCP server. Click the View button to see the current settings.Use the following DNS server address - enter the desired DNS server by specifying thefollowing:• Domain name - enter the domain(s) to search for the host name used by the AXIS221. Multiple domains can be separated by semicolons (;). The host name is alwaysthe first part of a Fully Qualified Domain Name, e.g. myserver is the host name inthe Fully Qualified Domain Name myserver.mycompany.com wheremycompany.com is the Domain name.• Primary DNS server - enter the IP address of the primary DNS server.• Secondary DNS server - will be used if the primary DNS server is unavailable.NTP ConfigurationObtain NTP server address via DHCP - check this radio button to automatically look upand use the NTP server settings as provided by DHCP.
