Axis P55 & Q60 HD network/IP PTZ cameras with Dotworkz D2 Outdoor Housing -10 minute installation guidewww.dotworkz.com 866.575.4689innovative remote video solutionsUsing the included AxisTorx screw driver unscrewall 8 bottom Torx screws (4“outside” ones for the maincover plus 4 for smallercables latch cover).Attach the Axis P55 or Q60series camera collar to theDotworkz universal cameramounting plate, making sureto line up correctly and tight-ening lock washers securely.Connect BROWN wire to(-) negative and RED to (+)positive on the MVP terminal.The BLACK wire is not usedso we recommend isolatingit with electrical tape.Run CAT5 cable through exist-ing D2 cable gland; Removethe plug and install an includedsecond cable gland, makingsure to seal it tight. Note: ifusing conduit be sure sealingto avoid water moisture.After unscrewing, removeP55 or Q60 series cameracover and open smaller cablelatch. Set aside the mainlower camera shroud as it isnot going to be needed.You will need to use the 1.5and the 0.75 inches stand-offs on the 4 brass insertson top of the D2 enclosure -DO NOT over tighten or crossthread the standoffs.Have a qualified electri-cian connect an externalpower source to D2 terminalpower block. See manual formore details.Attach the Dotworkz 5502-491patch cable that will providecamera power; attach theRG45 connector of a CAT5Ethernet cable to the camera;Feed both cables out theirrespective slots.Twist-lock camera into collarwhile applying down pressure;line up the diamond mark asin this picture; Secure thecamera plate to the standoffsusing included 832 panhead screws.Make sure to have only onecable per gland and tightenthem really shut to com-pletely seal D2 enclosurefrom the outside.Securely close the cablelatch using the Torx screwdriver again.Remove the terminal blockfrom Dotworkz 5502-491cable: you will only useBROWN and RED wires.Check camera install by care-fully closing the D2 camerahatch and verifying clearancebetween camera and D2lens: should be enough spacebetween the clear dome andthe camera to move freely.Close the enclosure andtighten all screws usinga philips screw driver.The D2 can be mounteddirectly to a wall or to a polemount adapter.Make sure to create a “U”shape drip loop with thecables to prevent waterfrom pooling and possiblyseeping inside.Axis Technology,Dotworkz DurabilityDotworkz has created a quick “how-to” guide on proper installation ofthe Axis P5512, P5522, P5532,P5534, Q1755, Q6032, Q6034,Q6035 HD cameras with theDotworkz D2 rugged IP66 cameraenclosures.
