THE BEAUTY OF POWERB-52 US Series Professional Power Amplifiers - Instruction ManualUS SERIES AMPLIFIERS1. FAN(S)Cooling fans with variable speed controls. Air entersthe amplifier through vents located on the front alu-minium panel. Do not block the front vents or the fanson the rear panel of the amplifier.2. INPUT CONNeCTORSConnect the input source to these electronically bal-anced Combo connectors using either XLR or 1/4”TRS plugs. The 1/4” TRS and XLR plug are config-ured: Pin 2 (Tip) - hot, Pin 3 (Ring) - cold, and Pin 1(Sleeve) – shield/ground. We recommend using bal-anced three-conductor cables. A stereo signal shouldbe connected to both the Channel 1 and Channel 2input jacks for 2-channel (stereo) operation.NOTe: Unbalanced two-conductor 1/4” plugscan also be inserted into these input Comboconnectors. But using unbalanced connectorsmay increase noise and hum. See moreinformation about balanced and unbalancedconnections in the CONNECTIONS section laterin this manual.NOTe: For BRIDGED MONO or PARALLELMONO use the Channel 1 input jack only.3. lINk CONNeCTORSThese XLR jacks are used to send a signal to a seper-ate amplifier (chaining). The LINK XLR jacks are con-nected in parallel to the input Combo jacks.4. hPF (hIgh PASS FIlTeR) SWITChUse these slide switches to activate the built-in HighPass filters. The HPF rolls off signals below 50Hz. Thisimproves the bass performance of most full rangespeakers by reducing uncontrolled and excessivespeaker cone motion. Engaging the HPF switch whenusing full range speakers makes more power avail-able to the speaker’s rated frequency range, leadingto higher SPLs.REAR PANEL CONTROLS1 2 2 334 45 5610
