The CUT-OFF KNIFE will be on the right side of the debris shield.Cutting with a Nylon HeadRULES OF SAFE OPERATIONFor nearly all cutting, it is good to tilt the line headso that contact is made on the part of the line circlewhere the line is moving AWAY from you and thedebris shield. (See appropriate picture). This results inthe debris being thrown AWAY from you.The proper debris shield must be in place on theunit when nylon cutting line is used. The cuttingline can flap around if too much line is exposed.Always use the plastic debris shield with cut-offknife when using nylon cutting heads.WARNINGTilting the head to the wrong side will shoot thedebris TOWARDS you. If the line head is held flatto the ground so that cutting occurs on the wholeline circle, debris will be THROWN at you, dragwill slow the engine down, and you will use up alot of line.WARNINGUse only quality nylon monofilament line of2.5mm diameter.NEVER use wire or wire-reinforced line in place ofnylon trimmer line. Load your nylon line cuttinghead only with nylon trimmer line of the properdiameter.WARNINGUse extreme caution when operating over barespots and gravel, because the line can throw smallrock particles at high speeds.Debris shields on the unit cannot stop objectswhich bounce or ricochet off hard surfaces.WARNING
