CO2 Analyzers 3100 & 3150Instruction 19-9339 326.3 Alternative Reading MethodsThere are three other reading types or methods which each requireslightly different operating procedures.• Logged reading• Peak reading• Hold reading6.3.1 Logged ReadingLogged readings need to be configured and initiated via the“UTILITIES” menu by pressing “KEY 6.” During configuration, the userwill be asked to supply an ID, reading interval, and pump run-time.These parameters are used to control the reading frequency inlogging mode. Once logging mode is activated, the instrument willautomatically record a reading at every interval until stopped by theoperator or the memory becomes full. Logging is also suspendedtemporarily while the user is accessing the menu options. While the logging mode is active, both the “PUMP” and “STORE” keywill be deactivated. Only logged readings can be stored.6.3.2 Peak ReadingThe operator can toggle the reading mode between normal (current)and peak readings. While in peak reading mode, the instrument willonly display peak values for each of the channels. These values canthen be stored by pressing the “STORE” key or automatically at theappropriate logging interval (if logging is enabled). The peak value is reset after a reading is stored or by exiting the peakmode using the appropriate soft-key. The current mode of operationcan be identified by the status of the soft-key, either “NORMAL” or“INVERSE”, where inverse indicates peak mode is active.6.3.3 Hold ReadingThe “HOLD READING” option allows the user to freeze the currentlydisplayed reading. This allows it to be manually recorded or movedaway from the sample point. Once activated, press the soft-key“HOLD” and the readings are fixed until the “HOLD” key is pressedagain or by storing the reading.
