Correct pedal play (25~30 mm).2. Brake lining wear indicator within‘USABLE RANGE’.3. No dragging.Drive chain 1. Proper slack (25~35 mm).2. Adequate lubrication.Lighting Operation of all lights.Horn Correct functions.Steering 1. Smoothness.2. No restriction of movement.3. Not Loose / Tight.Clutch 1. Correct lever play. (2 to 3 mm).2. Smooth operation of lever.Side and Return to their fully up position.Center StandTyres 1. Correct pressure.2. Adequate tread depth.3. No cracks or cuts.Mirrors Correct position.Daily Safety Checks20General Maintenance Information19Rainy Season Care :• It is suggested to customer to takeappropriate care in area of high rainfallarea. The appropriate surface preventivecoat to avoid rusting/poor surface finish onaccount of adverse atmospheric conditions.• Vehicle cleaning to be done with soft &clean wet cloth to avoid scratches onpainted parts.• Clean & lubricate all the important parts asdetailed in a periodic maintenance chart.• Do not apply direct water jet on painted,electrical / electronic parts.• Do not obstruct engine cooling by addingmud protection sheet from front.Front Brake Fluid Level• Front brake fluid master cylinder reservoir islocated near RH switch on handle bar.• To check oil level, keep the vehicle on Centerstand with handle bar in straight aheadposition.• Always ensure that brake fluid level is above‘MIN’ mark given on inspection window.• Use only DOT 3 or DOT 4 or equivalent brakefluid (from sealed container) to top up if reqd.It is advisable that brake fluid should bereplenished at every 30,000 Km or once in twoyears whichever occurs earlier.
