Field ServiceBHGE maintains the largest and most competent fieldservice staff in the industry. Service technicians arelocated at strategic points throughout the United Statesto respond to customers’ requirements for service. EachService technician is factory trained and long experienced inservicing safety valves. BHGE’s Service technicians restoredisc and seat bushing critical dimensions which affect valveperformance, and are capable of modernizing valves in thefield.It is highly recommended that the professional talents of aBHGE Field Service technician be employed to make finalfield adjustments during the initial setting of all ConsolidatedSafety Valves.B. Factory Repair FacilitiesBHGE’s Consolidated factory maintains a Repair Center. TheRepair Department, in conjunction with the manufacturingfacilities, is equipped to perform specialized repairsand product modifications, e.g., butt-welding, bushingreplacements, code welding, and pilot replacement.C. Maintenance TrainingThe rising costs of maintenance and repair in the utility andprocess industries indicate the need for trained maintenancepersonnel. BHGE conducts service seminars that help yourmaintenance and engineering personnel reduce these costs.Seminars, conducted either at your site or ours, provideparticipants with an introduction to the basics of preventativemaintenance necessary to minimize downtime, reduceunplanned repairs, and increase valve safety. While theseseminars do not create “instant experts,” they do provide theparticipants with hands-on experience with Consolidatedvalves.
