Damage discovered after opening crate(s)/carton(s) is ‘CONCEALED DAMAGE’ and the carriermust be notified immediately to send an inspector andalso to furnish forms for the consignee’s claim.When the oven arrives, it should consist of:a) A crate or carton containing your new oven.b) A carton containing 4 legs with mounting hardware.c) A strapped skid containing baking decks.Place the oven and parts as close as possible to the areaof final installation before uncrating.In MASSACHUSETTS: All gas products must beinstalled by a “Massachusetts” licensed plumberor gas fitter. Ventilation hoods must be installed inaccordance with NFPA-96, current edition, withinterlocks as described in that standard.WARNINGInstallation must conform with local codes and/or with the latest edition of the ANS Z-223.1National Fuel Gas Code in USA (CAN/CGA-B149.1 or 2 Installation Code in Canada).WARNINGThis appliance must be installed by a competentperson in accordance with the rules in force. Inthe U.K. Corgi registered installers (including theregions of British Gas) undertake to work to safeand satisfactory standards. Leave it onits back while unpacking. The skid may be left underthe oven for convenience in further handling. Unpackcarefully to avoid damage to the oven. If concealeddamage is found, follow the instructions detailed inReceiving Section.Keep the area around the oven free and clear ofcombustible materials. Do not store any materials ontop of or under any oven. The provision of an adequateair supply to your oven for ventilation and proper gascombustion is essential. As a minimum, observe theclearances detailed in Section 2. Provide adequateventilation and make up air in accordance with localcodes.Fit the flue diverter supplied (See Fig.1) into the holelocated at top near the left rear of the oven and securewith screws for installing the oven under a ventilationhood. For Direct Venting, Optional Draft Hood (Fig.2) must be placed into the hole. Direct Venting notavailable for European Community Countries. Localinspectors and ventilation specialists should beconsulted to make sure that the installation of thehood conforms to the local codes and requirements(See Fig. 3). In UK ventilation requirements asdetailed in BS 5440 should be followed.Access to the bottom front door and left side controlpanel is for day to day operation of the oven and forservicing.
