Page 9 of 14 DO NOT operate without guards in place. Never allow air intake grill to become blocked. Never discharge flammable solvents or kerosene based chemicals through the grill. Do not use the blower in areas where flammable or combustible liquids, gases, vapors, dust,fibers, or filings may be present. Never put any object in the air intake grill.1) The blower is completely assembled and ready to operate--only the duct must be attached. Uponremoving the blower and duct from the carton, inspect them for any possible damage in transit.2) Before operating the blower, read all the safety precautions and general safety information aboutthe proper and safe use of the blower.3) Assess your job site; certain job site locations are classified as being hazardous because theatmosphere may contain gas vapor or dust in explosive quantities.4) Locate a properly grounded outlet.5) Prior to plugging the blower into a grounded outlet, inspect the inlet and outlet grills; remove debristhat may restrict airflow movement. Never operate the blower without the inlet and outlet grillsproperly secured and in place. Never replace the grills with other than factory suppliedreplacement units.6) Note the directional airflow indicator on the external shell. This is the way the air moves.7) Place the blower on secure footing to prevent it from shifting while in use.8) Do not stand directly in front of and/or face the blower outlet. Personal injury can result from beingstruck by debris thrown at a relatively high velocity from the blower blade.9) If ducting is used, place end of duct over the blower end and note direction of the airflow.10) When ducting is used, be aware that the airflow rate decreases as the length of duct increases.Airflow rates will vary with specific duct types and manufactures.11) Position blower air inlet away from walls and other obstructions to allow for maximum air intake.12) For safe operation, use the blower only in combination with thorough gas detection tests andcontinual retesting.After Each Use⚠WARNING Be sure the blower is in the OFF position.
