Barbecue King CLASSIC 800 Instructions Manual
Connecting The GasConnecting An LPG Gas CylinderThis barbeque is designed to be used with a 9kg LPG cylinder. In certain countries larger tanks may need to be place underone of the side shelves. This section details how tosafely connect and disconnect gas.Carefully place a full gas cylinder into the tray so thatthe cylinder sits neatly and securely into the circularcutout.Take the hose that came with the barbeque, checkthat it has a rubber seal on the regulator end ofit, and connect this end of the hose to the gascylinder. You won’ t need a spanner here. Justturn the fitting in an anticlockwise direction andhand tighten as much as you can. This shouldseal it sufficiently. On most models, the hose is already connected to the barbeque. However, if you need to reconnect or replace the hose for any reason, proceed as follows:Take the end of the hose with the hexagonal nut and screw it onto thegas inlet on the right side of the barbeque, under the control panel. Youwill need a spanner to tighten it properly. If possible, use two spanner s,one for the hose and one for the inlet on the barbeque. This will mak eit easier to tighten. Do not use sealing tape. The connection is designedto seal properly without it.Conduct a leak test before use - see below.Leak TestingBefore proceeding, it is important that you leak test the barbeque. Make sure all the barbeque control knobs areOF F. If you have a portable gas cylinder, turn the cylinder ON by rotating the knob anti- clockwise.Spray or pour soapy water (about the same concentration as dish water) along the gasline including:• The gas connection at the inlet of the barbeque• The gas hose• The gas connection at the gas cylinderIf bubbles appear, there is a gas leak.If the leak is at a connection, tighten and retest. If the leak is anywhere else, or if youcannot resolve the leak, do not proceed. Turn the gas cylinder off and consult yourretailer.8 |
