Manual 2100-468JPage 15 of 29FIGure 6lOw VOltaGe wIrInGwIrInG – maIn POwerRefer to the unit rating plate for wire sizing informationand maximum fuse size. Each outdoor unit is marked witha “Minimum Circuit Ampacity”. This means that the fieldwiring used must be sized to carry that amount of current. If field installed heaters are added to the basic unit, asecond separate power supply circuit will be required. The heater rating plate located adjacent to the basic unitrating plate will show the appropriate circuit ampacity fusesize, etc. (Also see “Electrical Data” on pages 5 and 7.)All models are suitable for connection with copper wireonly. These instructions must be adhered to. Refer to theNational Electrical Code for complete current carryingcapacity data on the various insulation grades of wiringmaterial. The unit rating plate lists a “Maximum Time Delay Fuse”or “HACR” type circuit breaker that is to be used withthe equipment. The correct size must be used for propercircuit protection and also to assure that there will be nonuisance tripping due to the momentary high startingcurrent of the compressor.wIrInG – 24V lOw VOltaGe cOntrOlcIrcuItEight (8) wires should be run from thermostat subbase tothe 24V terminal board in the unit.
