Intended useThe jig saw is intended for split cuts andcutouts in wood, plastic and rubber. The jigsaw can be used for straight and curvedcuts at 0° to 45°.8. Inserting the saw bladeAlways disconnect the main power plugprior to performing any work on themachine.Use only T-shank jig saw blades.8.1 Lift the transparent blade cover (12) upand hold it.8.2 Pull the lever of the blade clamp andslide the saw blade into the groove asfar as it will go with the blade teethpointing forward. Make sure that the lugof the blade fitted into the blade clamp,then release blade clamp lever (17),check the blade held firmly.8.3 Place the transparent blade cover toinitial position.Attention: After a cut, the saw blade will bevery hot because of the friction. Be carefulwhen removing the saw blade. Protect your-self by wearing appropriate protectivegloves.9. Power on/off9.1 Insert the mains plug into the socket.The LED indicator light (14) lights upand indicates that power is applied.9.2 To turn on the pendulum stroke jig saw,press the ON/OFF switch (3). Theswitch can be set to continuous modeby pressing the power on lock (2).9.3 Pressing the ON/OFF switch (3) againreturns the power on lock (2) to thestarting position.9.4 To turn off the pendulum stroke jig saw,release the ON/OFF switch.10. StartupTake note of the line voltage. The voltage ofthe power source must match the informa-tion on the type label on the machine.220 V~ – 240 V~ can also be operated with230 V~ units.• Before switching on of the jig saw, thefront of the base plate (8) must lie flaton the workpiece. Make sure that thebase plate rests securely on the entiresurface.• Always hold the jig saw firmly with bothhands. Make sure that the saw blade isnot in contact with the workpiece beforethe jig saw is turned on.• Make sure that the saw blade has com-pletely stopped before removing the jigsaw from the workpiece.11. Stroke rate selectionYou can adjust the stroke rate with thestroke rate controller (1).
