INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONSPage 2-17JAM Output: Collisions are propagatedthrough the network using theJAM signal of an alternatingpattern of 1's and 0's inaccordance with 802.3specifications for a repeater unit.Fragment Extension: Packet fragments are extended toa minimum of 96 bits using theJAM [1,0].Fault Protection: Each segment will disconnectitself from the other segments if32 consecutive collisions occur, orif the collision detector of asegment is on for longer thanapproximately 110 μs. This faultprotection will resetautomatically after one packet istransmitted/received onto thefault protected segment withoutcausing a collision.POWER SUPPLY REQUIREMENTSNote: The SEH has a universal power supply. This unit allows you touse an input power from 90 to 264 VAC, 47-63 Hz.The power supply has two outputs of +5 volts and +12 volts. Themaximum output power is 20 watts and the minimum efficiency is65% under all conditions of line at full load. The minimum andmaximum load current from each output is shown below.Output Min.
