This is the default setting.Alternatively, if the Answer parameter is set to CLID, the call will beaccepted if the CLID of the remote SBU128 matches the ISDN numberof the channel from which you are placing the call.The Configuration\User Port\Call Control\Talkwire menu must be set toT/W Management at the local SBU128, if you do not wish to re-direct thedata path away from the DLC during a talkwire call.5.2 Enabling/Disabling the Talkwire FacilityBy default, the Talkwire facility is enabled. To enable or disable Talkwireon a given channel, go to the Configuration\User Port\CallControl\Talkwire menu.Note: When Talkwire is enabled, the SBU128's STATUS[CR] screen willdisplay TALKWIRE as either INACTIVE or ACTIVE.INACTIVE indicates that the facility is enabled but a talkwire session isnot in progress (no data path).ACTIVE indicates that the facility is in use (backup is in progress, orremote diagnostics are initiated).5.3 Initiating a Talkwire CallTo make a talkwire management call, the originating end must have theConfiguration\User Port\Call Control\Talkwire menu is set to T/WManagement.Talkwire Management must also be set for the local SBU128 and thatthe User port is connected to the DLC (for data transmission).At the SBU128 “M” prompt from which you wish to initiate the call, selectthe Operation menu and select Dial, and type the number.
