EN - 7Radio OperationBand SwitchPress BAND button to select radio band asfollows: FM1, FM2, FM3, WM1, WM2TUNEMANU SEEK: Press or to tune step bystep.AUTO SEEK: Press or more than 2seconds to seek automatically.Store Station ManuallyPress button 1 - 6 more than 2 seconds tostore current station.Press 1-6 briefly to recall preset station.RDS service availability varies with areas.Please understand if RDS service is notavailable in you area, the following service isnot available.RDS BasicsAF(Alternative Frequency): When the radiosignal strength is poor, enabling the AFfunction will allow the unit to automaticallysearch another station with the same PI(program identification) as the current stationbut with stronger signal strength.PS (Program Service name): The name ofstation will be display instead of frequency.AF Mode:AF on: AF function is activated.AF off: AF function is disabled.Remark: AF indicator on LCD will flash untilRDS information is received. If RDS serviceis not available in your area, turn off the AFmode.REG Mode: Press AF on the remote controlfor more than 2 seconds to switch REG modeon and off.REG on: AF function will implement theregional code (of the PI) and only stations inthe current region can be tuned automatically.REG off: AF function will ignore the regionalcode (of the PI) and stations in the otherregions can also be tuned automatically.Traffic AnnouncementsSome RDS FM stations periodically providetraffic information.TP (Traffic Program Identification)Broadcasting of traffic informationTA (Traffic Announcements Identification)Radio announcements on traffic conditionsTA Mode: Hold TA/AF button on the panel orpress TA button on the remote control to turnon/off TA mode. When TA mode is turned on,the TA indicator will blink.When traffic announcement is received, the TAindicator will display. The unit will temporarilyswitch to the tuner mode (regardless of thecurrent mode) and begin broadcasting theannouncement at TA volume level. After thetraffic announcement is over, it will return tothe previous mode and volume level. WhenTA is turned on, SEEK, SCAN, AMS functioncan only be received or saved when trafficprogram identification (TP) code is received.EON (Enhanced Other Networks)When EON data is received, the EONindicator lights and the TA and AF functionsare enhanced.TA: Traffic information can be received fromthe current station or stations in other network.AF: The frequency list of preset RDS stations
