101010Speaker Level ConnectionIf your receiver does not have a line-level audio signaloutput or if you wish to bypass this output, you need toconnect the speaker level inputs of the Control Moduleto your receiver’s speaker outputs. We provide a Speaker Wire Connector with two shortlengths of speaker wire already connected to it. (Ifwires are not long enough to reach from the ControlModule to your power amplifier, you need to attachlonger speaker wires. How to do this is described in“Attaching longer speaker wires” at the bottom ofthis page.)The speaker wire marked with a red band is Rightpostive. The unmarked wire next to it is Right negative. The Left Positive speaker wire is marked with a whiteband. The unmarked speaker wire next to it isLeft negative.Connect the speaker wires to your receiver’s Left andRight speaker outputs (Front Left and Front Rightspeaker outputs of a multi-channel receiver). You willhave to “parallel connect” theses wires with the mainspeaker wires (see diagram). Positive speaker outputterminals will usually be colored red and have a “+”symbol. Negative speaker output terminals will usuallybe colored black and have a “–” symbol. Finally, insert the Speaker Wire Connector plug into theCOAXDIGITAL INPUTSOPTICALOUTSUBWOOFERMAIN RIGHTTO FRONT LEFT &RIGHT SPEAKERSTO SUB'SSPEAKER LEVELINPUTSMAIN LEFTCENTERREAR RIGHTREAR RIGHTSPEAKER OUTPUTSRed BandWhite BandConnect plug to speaker outputRIGHT (CENTER)LEFTConnect plug toControl ModuleCambridge SoundWorks Cambridge Sound Works Cambride5/8"3/8"receiver endconnector endPrepare WireIdentify Wire MarkingRidge onOne SidePrinting onOne SideDifferentColorConductorsRIGHT INLEFT INCENTER INPREAMP LEVEL INPUTSRIGHTHIGH PASSOUTSUB IN LEFTHIGH PASSOUT+ – + – + –RIGHT CENTER LEFTSPEAKER LEVEL INPUTS1 2INTERFACE JACKSONAUTOOFF12VAC INPUTNewton, Massachusetts USAMade in ChinaCONTROL MODULENO USER SERVICEABLE PARTS INSIDEREFER SERVICING TO QUALIFIED PERSONNELAttaching longer speaker wires: First, prepare twosuitable lengths of speaker wire. You can use light-weight (18-22 gauge) speaker wire because this wirewill not carry any significant electric current. Also, wirelarger than 18 gauge will be somewhat harder toconnect in tandem with another speaker wire.Strip off 5/8” of insulation from one end of eachspeaker wire. Strip of 3/8” of insulation from the otherend. This end connects to the Speaker WireConnector Plug.Wire Connector to ModuleNotePositive (+)Negative (–)Sequence
