If this happens, switch unit to OFF,wait 30 minutes to cool, turn ON againto resume work.OperationlUbrIcatIOnThis is an oilless product and DOeS nOtrequire lubrication to operate.beFOre FIrSt StartUPbreaK-In PrOceDUreComplete this procedure before usingcompressor for the first time. Oncecompleted, it is not necessary to repeat.1. Turn regulator knob fully clockwise(to the right) to open air flow.2. Do not attach a hose or any otherfitting to the compressor.3. Turn ON/OFF switch to OFF ( O )position.4. Plug in power cord.5. Turn ON/OFF switch to ON ( I )position. Allow compressor to runfor 5 minutes.6. Turn ON/OFF switch to OFF ( O )position.7. Unplug power cord.OPeratInG PrOceDUre1. Turn switch to OFF ( O ) position andplug in power cord.2. Turn regulator knobcounterclockwise to close air flow.3. Turn switch to ON ( I ) position.4. Compressor will build to maximumpressure and shut off.5. With hose attached to outlet ofcompressor, attach tire chuck orother tool to open end of hose.6. Adjust regulator to proper pressurefor tool or tire. Operate tool perinstructions. As air is depleted from the tank byuse of a tire chuck, tool, etc., thecompressor will restart automaticallyat its preset “cut-in” pressure. Whena tool is being used continuously, the compressor will cycle on and offautomatically.7. Turn switch to OFF ( O ) position, unplug power cord and draintank of air when finished usingcompressor.User - MaintenanceInstructionsDisconnect power sourcethen release all pressure fromthe system before attemptingto install, service, relocate or performany maintenance. Service should beperformed by an authorized servicerepresentative. The compressor should be checkedoften for any visible problems and thefollowing maintenance proceduresshould be performed each time thecompressor is used.aSMe SaFety valveDo not remove orattempt to adjustthe safety valve!Check the safety valve by performingthe following steps:1. Plug the compressor in and run untilshut off pressure is reached (seeOperating Instructions).2. Wearing safety glasses, pull thering on the safety valve to releasepressure from compressor tank. Useyour other hand to deflect fast-moving air from being directedtoward your face.3. The safety valve should closeautomatically at approximately40-50 psi. If the safety valve doesnot allow air to be released whenyou pull on the ring, or if it doesnot close automatically, it MUST bereplaced.DraIn tanKWith compressor shut off and pressurereleased, drain moisture from tank byopening drain valve underneath tank.cleanInGTurn power OFF and clean dust and dirtfrom pump cover, tank, and air lines.IMPORTANT: Unit should be located asfar from spraying area as hose will allowto prevent over-spray from clogging airfilter.enD OF OPeratIOn/StOraGe1. Turn ON / OFF switch to the OFF ( O )position.2. Unplug power cord from wall outletand wrap around handle area toprevent damage when not in use.3. Wearing safety glasses drain tank ofair by pulling the ring on the safetyvalve. Use other hand to deflectfast moving air from being directedtoward your face.4. Drain tank of condensation byopening drain valve on bottom oftank. Tank pressure should be below10 psi when draining tank.5. Air hose should be disconnectedfrom compressor and hung openends down to allow any moisture todrain.6. Compressor and hose should bestored in a cool, dry place.Figure 6Figure 5
