GBA - IMPORTANT: ALWAYS BE CAREFUL WHENUSING GAS !• The purpose of these instructions is to enable you touse your Campingaz® 1 Series Compact EX CV correctlyand safely.• Please read them carefully to familiarise yourself withthe appliance prior to assembling the gas cartridge.• Please observe these instructions and the safetymeasures printed on the Campingaz® CV 470 PLUScartridges. Failure to observe these instructions mayresult in the user and people in the immediate vicinitybeing put at risk.• Keep these instructions in a safe place so that you canrefer to them if needed.• This appliance must be used exclusively withCampingaz® CV 470 PLUS cartridges. Using other gascartridges may be dangerous.• The Société Application Des Gaz accepts noresponsibility where cartridges of any other brandare used.• This device must be used outside only and away fromflammable materials.• It is best to wear gloves to assemble the product.• Do not use appliance which leaks, is damaged orfunctions incorrectly. Instead, return it to yourretailer who will inform you of your nearest after-sales service.• Never modify this appliance or use it for purposes forwhich it is not intended.• Do not use this appliance in caravans, cars, tents,huts, sheds or any small enclosed areas.• The appliance should not be used while sleeping orleft unattended.• All appliances running on gas consume oxygen andemit other potentially dangerous substances andgases such as carbon monoxide (CO).• Carbon monoxide is an odorless, clear gas thatcan cause flu-like symptoms, sickness, illness, andpossibly death if emitted in aforesaid enclosedareas through use of the appliance without properventilation.B - GETTING STARTEDWHEN USING THE GRILL FOR THE FIRST TIMERemove the appliance from its packaging (Fig. 2).(1) Legs(2) Grease tray(3) Cooking grate(4) Regulator holder(5) AA/LR6 battery1. Unlock latch by following step sequence A, B, C, then openthe lid (Fig. 1).2. Remove the grease tray (2) & grate (3) (Fig. 2).3. Assemble legs to grill base (Fig. 3).1) Align screw holes on legs with holes on grill.2) Install the screws through the inside of the grill base.3) Tighten the screws with a Phillips screwdriver.NOTE: Keep grill feet on leveled surface while installing thelegs. Take care to not over-tighten the screws.4. Connect the battery connectors and electrode wire (A) tometal tabs on ignition generator as shown in Fig 4.5. Install regulator holder (Fig. 5).6. Install grease tray below the grill from the rear side (Fig. 6).7. Place the cooking grate as shown in Fig. 7 and check itsstability.8. Remove the battery housing cap by turning itcounterclockwise, insert one AA/LR6 battery, and put thecap back on(Fig. 8).INSTALLING THE CAMPINGAZ® CV 470 PLUS CARTRIDGE(If the existing cartridge is empty, read paragraph E:“Removing the cartridge”).When installing or changing a cartridge, always operate ina very well-ventilated location, preferably outside, nevernear a flame, heat source or spark (cigarette, electricapparatus, etc.) and far away from people and flammablematerials.AS CAMPINGAZ® CV 470 PLUS CARTRIDGES AREVALVE-OPERATED, THEY CAN BE DETACHED FROM THEEQUIPMENT, EASILY TRANSPORTED (EVEN WHEN NOTEMPTY) AND FITTED TO OTHER CAMPINGAZ® EQUIPMENTIN THE CV 470 PLUS RANGE DESIGNED TO OPERATEEXCLUSIVELY WITH THESE CARTRIDGES.9. Turn off the regulator valve (A) (towards “-” on the marking)until it stops and turn the adjustment knob to the offposition (O) (Fig. 9).10.Holding the regulator, gently screw in the gas cartridgeby turning it as shown in Fig. 9 (C) (D) until you hear aclick (approximately one-sixth of a turn). Do not force thecartridge to turn further than this; you risk damaging thecartridge valve.11.Make sure that regulator hooks into and rests on thesupport wire (A), and cartridge is hooked to its dedicatedsupport (B) (Fig. 11).In the event of leakage (smell of gas prior to turning thetap on), take the appliance outside immediately, in a well-ventilated area with no combustion source, where the leakcan be located and halted. If you wish to check for leaks onyour appliance, do it outside. Do not try to detect leaks usinga flame, use soapy water.The appliance is now ready for use.C - ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS• Do not use your appliance at a distance of less than 20 cmfrom a wall or a combustible object.• Position the appliance on a stable, horizontal surfaceand do not move when in use to avoid the appearanceof large flames resulting from the combustion of liquidbutane rather than vaporised butane. Should this occur,turn off the valves on regulator assembly, and re-positionthe appliance.• In the case of a leakage (gas smell), close the valveimmediately (located on the regulator).• Always ensure the grease tray is installed.• Wait until the device has completely cooled down beforepreparing it for storage.• Caution: some parts may be very hot. Keep youngchildren away from the appliance.• Use cooking mitts to manipulate the cooking plate andgrease tray.• Avoid twisting the flexible hose.• Do not use the device if the gas cartridge is not hookedto its dedicated support (B) (Fig. 11).NOTE: Unless otherwise specified, following generic terms“appliance / unit / product / equipment / device” appearedin this instruction manual all refer to the product “1 SeriesCompact EX CV”.Rate: 182 g/h (2,5 kW) - injector n° 76Category : butane direct pressureThank you for choosing a Campingaz® product.INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE5 |
