FASCIA REMOVAL / INSTALLATIONRemoving Fitzroy Fascia (refer FIG 18a)1. Remove the wire mesh guard by gently lifting itupwards and then outwards. Similarly remove a fittedglass kit by also gently lifting it upwards and thenoutwards.2. Remove 4 M5 screws fixing the fascia assembly to theheater body. Bring the bottom of the fascia towardsyou gently to partly disengage it from the body of theheater. After it has been disengaged gently lift it upvertically to completely disengage it from the body ofthe heater.the PCB connector and unclip the cable from the clippingpoints. The cable is routed through a plastic grommetwhich will have to be removed from the base panel.Refer .FIG 19Inner Glass RemovalTo remove the inner glass loosen off all the clamp screwsand completely remove the upper clamps and onevertical side. Try not to touch the front surface of the glass.To avoid finger marks use suitable cloth. Remove the glassby sliding the glass sideways out of the clamp and thenRemoving Canterbury Fascia (refer FIG 18b)1. Remove 4 M5 screws fixing the glass surround. Toremove glass surround pull it firmly towards you.2. Remove the lower front cover by unscrewing two M5screws through the air intake slots. Unit is fitted withelectronic switches. Ensure that the cable cannot betrapped when the heater is installed.3. Remove the surround by pulling the lower sectiontowards you gently to partly disengage it from the bodyof the heater, then gently lift it vertically to completelydisengage it.4. To fully remove the fascia, unclip the switch cable fromthe PCB connector and unclip the cable from the clippingpoints. The cable is routed through a plastic grommetwhich will have to be removed from the base plate.Refer .FIG 19FIG 18a Removing Fitzroy Fascia FIG 18b Removing Canterbury FasciaTo fully remove the fascia,unclip the switch cable fromthe cable connector on thePCB and unclip the cablefrom the clipping points onthe rear of the fascia.Electrical ConnectionThis appliance is designed to operate on 240V AC powersupply. Failure to operate unit at correct supply voltage maycreate unsafe conditions.The heater is supplied with a flexible power cord witha plug fitted. A 10 Amp switch socket MUST be located within1.5m of the heater. For installations where the power pointis located outside of the enclosure, locate the power cord inthe fascia cut out on the left or right hand side as required.For a power supply connection located inside theenclosure, run the power cord through the cord accesslocated on the rear panel by pushing the cord access platefrom the bottom. The rubber grommet that is fitted over thecord must be located correctly in the cut out of the cordaccess plate. Refer .FIG 20Restore the cord access plate to the original position andseal with an appropriate removable material. A suitabledouble pole isolation switch MUST be installedELECTRICAL CONNECTIONGrommetexternally for servicing or emergency shut downof the heater.All fixed wiring MUST be installed by a suitably qualifiedperson and comply to the appropriate electrical wiring rules.It is critical that the appliance is earthed and that theactive and neutral are not reversed. Issues arisingfrom incorrect electrical wiring at premises will not becovered under warranty (including use of extensioncords). We recommend that the heater is connecteddirectly to a switch socket by its own power cord.Refrain from using extension leads.FIG 193.
