If the STABILIZER switch isset to , the image stabilizer function mayintroduce errors.●● The Image Stabilizer may not be fully effectiveif you shoot from a violently shaking vehicle orother transportation.●● The Image Stabilizer consumes more powerthan normal shooting, resulting in fewer shotsand a shorter movie shooting time.●● The image stabilizer operates for about twoseconds even when your finger is off theshutter button. Do not remove the lens whilethe stabilizer is in operation. This will cause amalfunction.●● With the EOS-1V/HS, 3, ELAN 7E/ELAN7/30/33, ELAN 7NE/ELAN 7N/30V/33V, ELAN II/ELAN II E/50/50E, REBEL 2000/300, IX, IX Lite/IX7, and D30, the Image Stabilizer will not workduring self-timer operation.●● Using a tripod also stabilizes the image.However, depending on the kind of tripod andshooting conditions, sometimes it may be betterto turn off the Image Stabilizer function.●● Even with a monopod, the Image Stabilizer willbe as effective as during hand-held shooting.However, depending on the shooting conditions,there are cases in which the Image Stabilizereffect may be less effective.●● The image stabilizer function also operates whenthe lens is used with an Extension Tube EF12 IIor EF25 II.●● Depending on the camera there may be imageshake, such as after releasing the shutter.However, this does not affect shooting.●● If you set the camera’s Custom Function tochange the assigned button to operate the AF,the Image Stabilizer will operate when you pressthe newly assigned AF button.
