Zooming in More Closely on Subjects (Digital Zoom)58Digital Tele-ConverterThe focal length of the lens can be increased by approx. 1.4x or approx. 2.3x.This enables a faster shutter speed and less chance of camera shake thanthe zoom (including digital zoom) used by itself at the same zoom factor.The images may appear coarse, however, depending on the combinationof recording pixel (p. 74) and digital tele-converter settings used.Choose [Digital Zoom].● Press the n button.● Press the qr buttons to choose the 4tab.● Press the op buttons or turn the  dialto choose [Digital Zoom].Accept the setting.● Press the qr buttons to choose amagnification.● Pressing the n button will restore theshooting screen.
