Point it at thecamera’s remote sensor while you pressthe buttons.There are seven functions that cannotbe operated without the wirelesscontroller:• Special playback ( 28)• Photo/date search ( 71)• Zero set memory ( 72)• Audio mix ( 83)• A/V insert ( 77: MV300i only)• Audio dubbing ( 80)• Data code ( 68)Insert two AA batteries, following the= and - markings. Be careful not toreverse the polarity of the batteries.Inserting batteries• When using the wireless controller in brightly lit places or outdoors, theeffective range will be less.• The camera may have difficulty picking up the remote control signals atextremely close range.• Do not leave the controller exposed to direct sunlight, or in hot or humid places.• When the batteries run out, replace them both together.• If the wireless controller doesn’t work, see p. 40.5m
