27 EXPOSURE IN MULTIPLE EXPOSURES27 Exposure in Multiple ExposuresGenerally, the first exposure of a series should be of a relatively dark subject sothat the image in the next exposure will show up clearly. For best results, it isadvisable to decrease the exposure for each shot. Depending on the situation, thereare several ways to do this. One way is to change the ISO setting to a higher valueas described earlier. In this method, you must first decide how many exposures youwant to make on the same frame. If a double exposure, make lSoth exposures attwice the normal ISO rating; if a triple exposure, make all three exposures at threetimes the normal ISO rating, and so forth.Another way to correct exposure is to use the exposure compensation dial. Thismethod is the same as that of changing the ISO. That is, for a double exposure, setthe dial to ”1/2” for both exposures; for a triple exposure, at the setting between”1/2” and ”1/4”, and so on. Both methods described above are merely guideiines, and your technique will benefit greatly from practice.Number of Multiple Exposures Exposure Compensation ScaleDouble 1/2Triple Between 1/2 and 1/4Quadruple 1/460All manuals and user guides at all-guides.com
